BamBooBay began with two like-minded friends chasing winters, waves and that feeling you only get from being outside all day. We didn’t have a plan, just a need to keep moving, travelling and riding for as long as possible. To make that life work, we got creative. BamBooBay started as a way to keep the adventure going, selling clothes out of the boot of our car in the Alps, just to scrape together enough for the next lift pass. Snowboards leaning against bumpers, cold hands counting cash, and first tracks the next morning. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was real.
The brand officially launched in 2012. From the very beginning, we wanted to do things properly. Using organic cotton fabrics, recycled materials, and water based inks, and working with ethical production partners. The aim was simple: avoid the fast-fashion route and create clothing that lasts, feels better to wear, and has a lighter impact than standard fabrics.
BamBooBay grew through friends and community. Creatives, photographers, and fellow adventurers helped shape the island, while the brand travelled with us, back to the mountains, along the coast and wherever life took us next.
Over time, life evolved. The crew grew. Priorities shifted. But the heart of BamBooBay stayed the same. A brand built to support an adventurous life, protect your wellbeing, and remind you to get outside whenever you can.
Today, BamBooBay is rooted in the UK but forever chasing that island feeling. It’s for cold water dips, long walks, early starts, late finishes and the moments in between when everything feels just right.
